This week we will talk about Washington quarters.
1932 was their first year of mintage.
Ironically, that is the year that has the two most valuable Washington quarters. 1932D for Denver and 1932S for San Francisco. Both of these have low mintage numbers.
These coins in circulated condition can still have substantial value.
All other Washington quarters, including 1964, have a melt value for 90% silver content.
Of course, if your Washington quarter from 1932 to 1964 has been graded and has a high MS number it will have even more value.
Regrettably if you come across 1965 until now 2024 in your pocket change, just spend it.
